Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with expertise in journal entries, account analysis, and financial report writing.

Duties:
- Prepare and review journal entries for accuracy and completeness
- Conduct account analysis to ensure proper classification of transactions
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Utilize or similar accounting software for data entry and reconciliation
- Handle tax-related tasks and assist with audits
- Apply knowledge of debits and credits to maintain accurate financial records

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Previous experience in public accounting or related field
- Knowledge of wills, trusts, and estate law is a plus
- Proficiency in Xero or other accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with clerical duties related to accounting functions
- Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements

Pay: $20.64 - $24.85 per hour
