Responsibilities

• Oversee project from planning to closeout.
• Responsible for the overall supervision and control of a project
• Ability to create budgets and oversee bidding processes
• Provide preliminary costs estimates, with material take-off
• Review construction plans and offer value engineering strategies to reduce construction costs
• Develop scope of work and bid documents on design build projects
• Understand project scope of work to award contracts
• Create project schedules and manage throughout the duration of the project with weekly updates to the VP
• Review submittals for accuracy
• Provide supervision of superintendent, subcontractors and vendors
• Oversee the construction of projects in accordance with project plans and specs outlining the type of materials, options and selections.
• Maintain budgeted costs and schedule on individual projects
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
• Review and report project and budget updates weekly to Vice President of Construction (VP)
• Approve invoices for timely payments
• Manage projects so that company quality standards expectations are met

Experience/Qualifications

• 3 Years experience in the construction industry required
• Experience in public street work, site work and commercial steel building projects required
• High School diploma required
• Bachelors Degree (preferred)
