Jackson National Life Insurance is Hiring a Remote Financial Analyst, Assest Liability Management

Job Purpose The Asset Liability Management (ALM) department works to protect Jackson’s capital and its ability to cover the payouts guaranteed to its customers. To accomplish this goal, the ALM department regularly monitors Jackson’s exposure to the market using statistical models and manages that exposure through hedging and other risk management actions. The Financial Analyst, Derivatives and Fixed Products will assist in the monitoring and risk management of Jackson’s asset/liability position. Primary focus for this position will be the modeling of Jackson’s derivatives portfolio, fixed indexed annuity (FIA) and registered index-linked annuity (RILA) guarantees and preparing the required risk reporting and attribution analyses of the asset derivatives portfolio and FIA and RILA liability positions. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Updates and maintains hedging programs. Assists in the modeling of FIA and RILA guarantees. Determines modeling ramifications of Jackson’s new FIA and RILA product offerings. Prepares weekly and monthly hedging reports, including attribution analysis. Assists in the testing/validation of model changes. Develops improvements to risk models, methods, procedures and systems. Develops in-depth knowledge of annuity product designs as well as capital market instruments (options, swaps, futures, etc.) and hedging concepts. Assists with tasks required to meet Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), model risk management (MRM) and user developed application (UDA) compliance. Other duties Provides research support for other departments’ information requests. Contributes to process automation and database maintenance and interacts with ALM dedicated Azure development team within an Agile framework. Performs ad hoc project analyses. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Solid knowledge of statistics, financial mathematics, economics, finance or actuarial science. Must have practical knowledge of financial instruments/derivatives. Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office suite. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a timely and accurate manner and adapt to changing priorities as needed. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in finance, actuarial science, economics, mathematics, computer science or related field of study required. Experience with Python, SAS, C , SQL, VBA or similar is preferred. Experience with Power BI, Power Automate or Power Query is preferred.
