POSITION AVAILABLE: MAINTENANCE LABORER (Maintenance I)

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs manual labor and limited maintenance tasks required for the preservation and upkeep of the physical plant of a public housing development.
Loads, unloads, and moves equipment and appliances.
Performs a broad and complete range of janitorial duties. Performs grounds maintenance
including grass cutting, hedge and shrub trimming and pruning, and general area policing. Operates a wide variety of power equipment. Assists qualified maintenance personnel in the performance of more complex tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite
knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
Must be in good health and capable of physical labor. If selected, must pass a post-offer physical examination by our designated physician.

DESIRED/OPTIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Three or more years of experience in large
scale housing or institutional maintenance, oracceptable equivalent experience. Ability to followinstructions accurately and completely. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and residents.

WAGE/HOUR: $16.57 per hour
