Full-Time, Dayshift, 40 hours/week Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Departmental Director of Nursing is responsible for managing the operations of a specific clinical division. That division complies with hospital and nursing philosophy, policies and procedures. The Departmental Director of Nursing is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a strategic operating plan for a specific clinical division. The Departmental Director of Nursing provides visionary leadership that ensures the delivery of patient care through the nursing process; maintains the appropriate human, material, technological, and financial resources necessary for the provision of patient care, and serves as a liaison between administration, nursing, the medical staff, and the community. The individual demonstrates personal and professional responsibility, creates and maintains an environment that promotes mutual trust, acceptance, recognition and respect, and assumes responsibility for own professional development.
BSN , Master's Degree preferred, Unrestricted AL or Multi State RN License, BLS and ACLS 2 years of Director level experience required including Business and Personnel experience 5 years of nursing experience in med/surg required Must demonstrate personal and professional responsibility Must assume responsibility for own professional development
