Under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Physical Therapist provides services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent disabilities, as well as restore, maintain and promote overall fitness and health. Develop a treatment plan by incorporating that data obtained through the assessment of the patient's medical history, appropriate tests and measures and functional ability. Also determines the patient's ability to be independent and reintegrate into the community or workplace.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. May have Masters Degree or Doctorate Degree.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of Alabama and holds current BCLS (CPR) certification.
Equipment/Tools/Work Aids: Understands and has experience with the basic equipment used in exercise, modalities used in outpatient and/or inpatient physical therapy.Specialized Skills: Requires a high level of interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, gain cooperation and exhibit customer service skills. Requires basic computer skills.
