Director of Counseling and Learning Support

Director of Counseling and Learning Support
The Director of Counseling and Learning Support is an education professional with expertise in health
and wellness education, academic support systems, positive behavioral interventions, and
high-school-level response to intervention. They spearhead the development and execution of school
counseling and learning support programs in collaboration with other school leaders. Reporting to the
Director of Curricular Affairs, they prioritize student well-being, foster collaboration among stakeholders,
innovate curricular strategies, and champion the holistic development of students. Additionally, they offer
short-term counseling to students in need.
Other responsibilities of the ideal candidate include, but are not limited to; superior communication and
interpersonal skills aligning with the school's educational mission; the ability to engage a diverse student
body; and enhancing the school's inclusive community. In addition to specific qualifications, depending on
if the candidate is a part-time (.75) or full-time employee, additional responsibilities may include teaching
a course, advising, participating in school events, and contributing to administrative duties.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of
