Description

Jack's Tire and Oil, family owned since 1947, is looking for a Tire Technician to join our A&E Tire location in Craig, Colorado.

This position will require a team player who is able to work with others in order to service our customer’s needs. You will represent Jack's Tire & Oil in a professional manner with safety and customer service being our top priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of the job in a safe, timely manner
  • Dismount and mount tires of all sizes including but not limited to commercial tires, industrial tires and the majority being light vehicle tires
  • Inspect and determine if a tire is safe to be on the road
  • Determine if a tire is repairable, if so complete tire repair 
  • Complete and turn in paperwork in a timely manner
  • Must be able to follow TIA guidelines in all aspects of tire service
  • Heavy lifting will be required
  • Loading and unloading tires
  • Keep a clean and well organized work area

Skills

  • Completed TIA 300 training is a plus, if not trained must be able to complete the training within 90 days of hire date
  • Ability to operate forklift
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
