Jack O'Lantern Journey is an event production company located in Peekskill, NY. We conceive, design, build, ship and install original content for installations with a focus on the Halloween season. We are looking for an organized and creative Art Coordinator to add to our administrative team.
Administrative Tasks
Filing and properly tagging props and other physical content to help maintain show content inventory
Editing and filing photos and other files to help maintain marketing materials
Sourcing and organizing reference images for props, structures, art pumpkins, and any other general creative reference needed
Help manage certain parts of materials and content inventory
Manage production schedules for artists on the shop floor on a weekly basis to ensure production efficiency
Assisting Production Manager with ancillary tasks/in any way they might need an extra hand
Generally reporting to Production Manager and CEO
Sitting in and participating during team production meetings
Willingness to liaison with sales team and other departments
Ancillary administrative tasks
Collaborate with the design team to provide insights and solutions aligned with client requirements.
Able to follow shop drawings and take written and verbal instructions
Comfortable with power tools and construction
Ability to paint scenery and props
Carving experience
Design or composition experience
Technical Skills
Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator

Digital Layout Design Skills
Possess a creative flair with digital layout design skills to assist in creating visually appealing documents and presentations. Knowledge in InDesign, VectorWorks and/ or SketchUp would be great.
