Job Summary:

This is a full-time maintenance position within a school setting. Interactions with children, parents and staff occur regularly and candidate must be able to keep a pleasant and positive demeanor about them.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must be able to pass a Rule-3 Background check.
• Ability to be a self-starter and work without supervision.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with co-workers and teams at both sites.
• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
• Ability to adjust and adapt to changes and new ideas.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Shuttle supplies and other materials between Jack & Jill’s two centers.
• Light maintenance and repairs as needed throughout the center/classrooms such as paint touchups, toy repairs, rug cleaning, hand sanitizer station refills, and building/classroom checks.
• Basic plumbing skills.
• Basic electrical skills.
• Basic furniture repairs.
• Ability to regularly inspect both locations, classrooms, playgrounds, and general grounds for Rule-3 hazards and repairs.
• Pro-active maintenance is a must.
• Trips to the bank for deposits.
• Trips to the store to purchase supplies as needed.
• General routine maintenance and upkeep of appliances i.e., washing machines, dryer, dishwasher, air purifier filters etc.
• Assist with loading/unloading deliveries to the center.
• Warehouse organization and keeping track of supply inventory.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the children, staff, parents, and the program.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Assist with snow-removal (shoveling and plowing) during the winter months.
• Ability to acquire parts necessary for repairs to various items within the two buildings (such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
• Bus/van driving

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
