Jack in the Box is Hiring a SR IT Tech Product Manager, MIS Near San Diego, CA

We are seeking a SR IT Tech Product Manager, MIS who will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and implementation of Menu Information System (MIS) across our portfolio of restaurant brands. The MIS system is largely accessed through robust and well documented APIs. Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, technology partners, and key stakeholders to ensure the successful development and ongoing enhancement of this critical domain information system.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and communicates a clear vision for the MIS project aligned with the company's overall strategy.

Leads the end-to-end product management of the MIS product including planning, execution, and monitoring of timelines and milestones.

Collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and deployment of the new MIS system.

Works closely with IT, Operations, Marketing, and other relevant departments to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.

Fosters a collaborative environment, promoting effective communication and coordination among various internal and external teams involved in the project.

Works with existing Menu process to understand inefficiencies and suggest improvements with the new POS menu structure

Works across all stakeholders and collaborate with the IT Tech Product Manager of POS to develop menu structures and data management processes that meet all party's needs.

Works across Marketing and Digital Product Management stakeholders to develop offer management capabilities and processes. Ensures these meet strategic digital experience and growth needs. •

Manages feature definition and produce user stories. Collaborates with MIS tech leads to refine stories to developer ready status.

Authors and maintains prioritized backlogs for internal development squads and collaborate with the IT Tech Product Manager of POS on backlogs for POS vendor squads.

Drives the development of comprehensive MIS roadmaps for OOTB and ensure these roadmaps meet the current and future needs of the business.

Actively communicates priorities and timelines to the MIS team and stakeholders.

Manages the technical integration definition, design, and development. Specifically, the development and/or enhancement of APIs to allow efficient access of data, stored and managed in MIS, by external systems.

Establishes SLAs/SLOs, and observability requirements for integrations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science, Marketing, Business or related field.

Experience – 10 years in Product Management and 5 years development and management of large-scale domain systems. Proven experience in product management, specifically in Menu technology within the quick-service restaurant industry. Experience with SAAS products/apps/solutions. Experience with building Cloud based, enterprise level domain services.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex technology initiatives on time and within budget.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

Strong background in authoring user stories, creating roadmaps, and collaborating with operations.

Demonstrated success in utilizing data to inform product enhancements and prioritization.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and a track record of successful product delivery.

Knowledge of QSR-specific technologies and strategic industry roadmaps.

Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior.

Physical Requirements: Ability to hear/speak clearly in person and on the telephone. Ability to operate a computer keyboard.

The range for this position is $130,800 - $186,200 and is based on an employee located at our corporate headquarters in San Diego. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
