Building Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a full-time technician to join our team. The candidate must have good communication and people skills when working with our Restaurant Managers, staff, the Technician Supervisor, and peers. The position duties include electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, flooring, painting, ceiling tiles and miscellaneous building repairs. We have restaurants in Tucson, Nogales, Sierra Vista and Benson.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

· Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural background and with co-workers at all levels.

· Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction.

· Ability to prepare and maintain work orders.

· Ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks within strict deadlines.

· Must have knowledge of methods, materials, tools, parts, and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of physical plant (interior/exterior).

· Must have knowledge of basic plumbing.

· Must have knowledge of concepts of electricity and safety practices related to electricity.

· Must have knowledge and ability to order parts, supplies or service manuals related to equipment or repairs.

· Must have knowledge of work hazards and safety procedures.

· Must have knowledge of use of maintenance tools.

· Must have knowledge of the methods and practices used in preventive maintenance and repair work within a 24-hour operation.

· Must have knowledge and experience in the use of oxy acetylene and a welder.

· Ability to use any electrical testers and interpret readings.

· Ability to trouble shoot electrical problems such as shorts, outages, faulty equipment or other electrical malfunctions.

· Ability to replace electrical wiring or install new wiring.

· Ability to safely use hand and power tools.

Schedule:

· Monday to Friday

· Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays for on-call rotation with your department.

Requirements:

· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

· Must have a valid driver license and an approved MVR.

· Superb customer service skills.

· Must be able to climb ladders, work from heights and crawl in tight quarters.

· Mechanically inclined and a hunger to learn new techniques and approaches.

· Must be able to frequently lift/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/or move 100 pounds.

· Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (both hot and cold).
