Job Summary
The Auto Body Painter will be responsible for refinishing and paint application on all vehicle body parts in accordance with factory and dealership quality specifications and standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None.

Essential Functions:

• Perform all paint and refinish operations with a high level of proficiency (Quality and Production)
• Perform final prep, masking, and tack for paint application.
• Identify the proper color and variant for application.
• Make spray-outs and let-down panels as needed for color/coat verification.
• Stage paint operations to maximize each paint booth run.
• Comply with all hazardous waste disposal guidelines.
• Make spray-outs and let-down panels as needed for color/coat verification.
• Assist in material orders and maintain the mixing room to ensure supply is maintained.
• Use proper respirator and all PPE for the task.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• 2-5 years of collision repair experience
• Ability to properly complete light to heavy repairs

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Experience as a Auto Body Paint Tech
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical dexterity and stamina
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Must be able to lift up to 45lbs. regularly.
• Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.
• Good vision to inspect repair work.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
