Job Summary:

The Customer Assistant (Lot Porter) assists the Service and Sales sides of the business, ensuring optimum on-site vehicle placement and presentation of interiors and exteriors of vehicles. The Customer Assistant utilizes various cleaning tools, and supplies, (e.g. brushes, vacuums, products, etc.) to preserve and protect vehicles.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Move vehicles as needed to different locations on the auto dealership lot.
• Perform maintenance tasks, including filling up vehicles with gas.
• Assigns stock controls numbers to vehicles and catalogs and stores vehicle keys.
• Place stickers and signs on vehicles.
• Clean the auto dealership parking lot, including picking up trash.
• Start vehicles regularly and check for any issues.
• Run errands for various departments, such as sales, parts, and service.
• Perform any other assigned duties.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills and work ethic.
• Comfortable working outside.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test)

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.
• Prolonged periods of walking on a level surface throughout the dealership.
