Distribution Associate I
Reports to: Distribution Center Supervisor

Work Schedule: 8 hour assigned shift M – F; 6am – 3pm, 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm or according to manager’s discretion; with regular overtime according to workload.

Position Summary:
Responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, load and unload merchandise. Repairs and maintains facilities as instructed. Handling, moving, and storage of hazardous waste containers, response to spills, inspection of containers, and assisting with proper waste disposal. The distribution center is a logistics based department, and as such we are required to potentially work 15 hours of overtime per week, depending on the workload.

Work Environment:
Chemical manufacturing environment inside and outside of metal buildings. Employee could be faced with working in temperature extremes. Must be able to work in a chemical odors environment. Able to lift and carry 100 pounds. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery. Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Helpful to be able to drive a forklift safely.
