We are a growing business in high demand, and we are currently seeking a full-time Builder/ Superintendent. We specialize in high-end homes and are seeking job applicants who will provide the level of service our clients expect when working with our company.

Job Description:

The Builder/Superintendent is responsible for construction project management of new Custom Home builds. This team member must be able to use their time wisely while overseeing multiple build sites; maintain a good professional relationship with trade contractors, the architect, material suppliers, subcontractors, inspectors, selections coordinator, Project Manager and clients. The Superintendent should have “hands-on” experience in construction home builds from the ground up. Position will require travel; primarily in the Birmingham area. Must have above average shop math skills and be able to read blueprints. Also must be able to layout and oversee the entire scope of work for the project. Physical labor, equipment operations, and some heavy lifting will occur while on the job.

Qualifications:

• We require a high attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills.
• Must be able to build using plan specifications
• Have an understanding of change orders and purchase orders
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Preferred but not required BuilderTrend experience
• Preferred minimum 5 years Building Science knowledge
• Ability to read and understand construction blueprints
• BuilderTrend experience preferred.

• Background Check with Clean Driving Record

What you will do:

• Manage 5 to 7 ongoing residential custom home projects in various phases from breaking ground to final quality control inspection.
• Manage a vendor/builder relationship to complete projects within the companies expected pricing, quality, and timeframe.
• Consult with architect, selections coordinator, trade contractors and clients regarding plan revisions and change orders.
• Take overall responsibility for keeping sites clean during construction.
• Adjust daily schedule to accommodate work priorities.
• Ensure safety protocol is enabled at all job sites.
• Assist trade contractors with tasks when necessary.
• Explain quality control standards and supervise their implementation.
• Make sure homes are built to quality standards. Strive for no-defect construction.
• Keep Project Manager informed of each home production status.
• Notify trade contractors and material suppliers far enough in advance to assure materials are delivered timely and trade contractors arrive on schedule.
• Communicate with customers on job sites, answer their questions and ensure that construction meets their expectations.
• Conduct pre-closing walk-throughs with customers and customer service/warranty coordinator.
• Coordinate punch list work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
