Wildflower Meadow Landscaper

We are a professional horticulture organization dedicated to creating premier properties and building lasting relationships throughout the central Virginia region. We are now accepting applications for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and trustworthy individual to work in our Natural Resources Department. This is a full-time position from Monday through Friday. Landscaping experience preferred.

The Job Will Entail:

• Developing and applying a basic understanding of common landscape plant material including annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs
• Assisting natural resources crews with daily horticultural tasks, including planting, watering, pruning, weeding, edging, mulching, and applying herbicides, using hand and gardening tools
• Treating existing plants with herbicides to establish native grasses and forbs, or to prevent invasive plants from spreading
• Operating rototillers, aerators, string trimmers, and other equipment in a safe manner
• Maintaining landscaping trucks, tools, and equipment in good condition to ensure that needed items are present and trucks are in proper working order for daily work

Job Requirements and Skills:

• Ability to work from 7am-4:00 pm (Monday to Friday)
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, walk long distances, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Have a valid driver's license

The Job Is:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
