South River Irrigation, located in Staunton, Virginia, is a “turn-key” irrigation company providing design, service, and installation for residential, commercial, and vineyard irrigation applications. In 2023, we celebrate 34 years of dedicated client service in Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, Lexington, and surrounding areas.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Irrigation Projects Team Leader to manage the small, hard-working, dedicated teams that install residential and commercial landscape irrigation systems. The Irrigation Projects Team Leader is the main point of contact with prospective clients, clients, field supervisors, and subcontractors. Responsibilities:

• Meet with prospective clients and develop detailed lists of materials, estimated costs, and project bids
• Schedule projects and assign crews
• Manage 3-4 person installation crews in a professional and efficient manner
• Maintain communication with clients, field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with regulations, reporting requirements, and company policies
• Conduct job site inspections
• Monitor crew efficiency and production rates

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in irrigation, landscaping, construction, or related industry
• Ability and desire to work in outdoor conditions
• Ability to work from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday
• Strong work ethic, professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Good comprehension and communication skills, with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through written and verbal communication
• Ability to assist with the physical aspects of work, including lifting and carrying 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods of time, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Valid Virginia driver’s license
• Backflow prevention assembly tester certification preferred

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
