ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Provide outstanding customer service!
• Maintain working knowledge of current products, sales, and promotions
• Write customer orders, mill orders, delivery orders, and collect payment
• Assist customers with design and material list for projects
• Advise customers on lumber and hardware use to include bidding of projects
• Assist store manager in maintaining a clean, organized, and properly stocked store
• Ensure hardware and lumber price tags are up to date
• Complete end of day paperwork (i.e. invoices, charge tickets, pick-tickets, etc.)
• Always represent J&W Lumber with a professional appearance and demeanor
• Attend J&W Lumber trainings through J&W University when available
• Perform related and miscellaneous duties as assigned

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
• Competitive compensation: $17 per hour plus attractive and achievable commission structure following successful completion of training period

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-2 years of demonstrated customer service experience
• Exceptional attention to detail
• General math skills; able to learn and understand board, square, and lineal footage measurements
• Construction, lumber, or outdoor building materials experience is a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
