We have an amazing opportunity in our Risk and Safety Department

This position will help safeguard the company’s assets and ensure the safety of guests and employees and assist the Director of Risk Management on safety and risk programs for the Resort.

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and non-compliance with safety regulations.

Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions, ensuring that all documentation is up to date and readily accessible.

Participate in safety committee meetings and provide support in preparing meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.

Collaborate with the Safety Manager to develop and deliver safety training programs to employees, including new hire orientation, refresher courses, and specialized training as required.

Data entry and record maintenance in various company systems, including but not limited to OSHA record reporting, worker compensation claims, training track for safety training and emergency mass notification system and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) upkeep

Monitoring and running Motor Vehicle Reports for job candidates.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role or a demonstrated interest in workplace safety.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate preventive measures.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver safety-related training and presentations.

Proficient in using computer software applications, such as Microsoft Office suite and safety management systems.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

1. First Aid, CPR AED Instructor certification preferred or ability to complete certification within 1 year.
2. OSHA 10 hr. safety certification preferred or ability to complete certification within 1 year.
3. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in occupational health and safety is preferred.
4. Must have valid Nevada driver’s license and able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report showing a good driving record.
