J.R. Johnson, LLC is a well-established General Contracting and Restoration company located in Portland, Oregon. We are currently seeking qualified, skilled, committed Journeyman Roofing Superintendent to join our Roofing Team.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience installing various types of roofing

Experience and knowledge should include: Shingle Roofing, Adhesive Systems, Single Ply, Built Up Roofing, Torch Down

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufactures specifications

Extensive safety knowledge and knowledge of OSHA compliance

Good attendance and punctuality

Excellent written and verbal communication

Ability to fill out daily time tracking sheets and daily worksheets

Be able to work at heights for most of an 8-10-hour shift

Be able to safely carry and set up a 32-foot ladder alone, or a taller ladder with assistance

Valid Driver’s License

Have a reliable transportation to get to the jobsite

Basic hand tools and tool belt

Be willing to follow all safety laws and company policies

Ability to pass background check

Spanish language skills a plus

Duties:

Monitor day to day operations of large-scale roofing projects

Maintain customer service and client/resident relations on projects

Conduct safety training and oversee safety of all employees on projects

Complete all daily logs, paperwork, photo documentation, PO’s etc.

Track hours and workflow for team

Respond to afterhours emergencies if needed

Update schedule for project as needed

Complete routine roofing inspections as needed

Report daily operations of projects to Roofing Department Manager

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
