We are currently seeking hard-working and reliable general construction workers for immediate hire.
We are a local small general contracting construction company. We work with a variety of different clients with differing project needs.
The type of construction work necessary will vary per project, however our primary focus is on commercial playground installations and residential/commercial concrete work.
Most jobs will be around the Kansas City Metro area but we occasionally do projects out of town so some travel will be required (per diem paid).
Starting pay is $18/hour. Prevailing wage jobs are common, but not guaranteed. Wage rates for prevailing wage jobs will vary.
Prior construction / concrete experience strongly preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be age 18 .
- Must have a current/active driver's license and reliable transportation to get to and from local job sites.
- Must be able to pass a background check and have no restrictions which would keep you from working on job sites located on military bases and elementary schools.
- Must have the physical ability and coordination necessary to meet the physical demands of construction work (standing/moving for long hours, performing work outside through differing weather conditions, ability to lift heavy objects, etc).
- Must be understanding and flexible in regards to scheduling as construction projects sometimes have to be rescheduled unexpectedly due to factors beyond our control (such as unsafe weather conditions, material/part delivery delays, delays that may arise due to permit/inspection requirements, etc)
- Must speak English well enough to be able to communicate with members of the team and understand instructions.
