J JIll is Hiring a Transportation Analyst Near Quincy, MA

This role will be responsible for supporting the optimization of domestic transportation performance and expense management to meet business goals. This individual will assist in broad level transportation/supply chain improvement strategies and stimulate continuous improvement efforts. Analyze and optimize existing carrier contracts new proposals, and rate increases. Additional responsibilities include routing of domestic shipments, allowances & claims, and invoice auditing.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and analyze monthly financial and operational Metrics, KPI’s, SLA, Carrier Scorecards.
  • Develop, recommend, and action corrective actions to meet or improve against KPI’s
  • Ensure services are meeting customer service level agreements (SLAs) levels by proactively managing and analysis of carrier shipments to ensure routing and transit times meet or exceed minimum performance levels for all business segments.
  • Provide transportation/logistics analysis and Identify methods and areas to improve service, reduce freight costs, and streamline processes
  • Develop recommendations to optimize current contracts, new carrier proposals, and rate increases.
  • Responsible for invoice processing and implement savings opportunities related to inaccurate billing
  • Identify and collaborate with cross functional business partners on improvement opportunities, i.e. Stores, E-Commerce, DC, Contact Center (CC) and Finance.
  • Provide routing guidelines for domestic vendor shipments
  • Analyze delivery performance issues / service failures across business segments and make recommendations for improvement, including areas such as DTC lost and damaged packages Allowances, Returns and Retail in-transit
  • Process lost and damaged shipment claims with carriers and identify reduction initiatives to improve customer experience
  • Perform additional duties as needed to improve/support daily business needs

Qualifications :

  • Excel, Access, data warehouse familiarity
  • Demonstrated ability to independently take ownership of initiatives and drive execution.
  • Ability to problem solve and develop solutions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to make and communicate one’s assumptions; identify trends, incorporate external and internal information, draw conclusions from ambiguous data, and effectively benchmark results against appropriate baselines.
  • It is required that the candidate can manage multiple assignments, has good judgment, and prioritizes projects and time effectively.
  • Flexible and open to change
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Experience: 2 years of logistics or transportation experience, including small parcel, project management and logistics analysis.
  • College Degree Required in related field
  • Leadership experience a plus
