Our client, a Medical Device Manufacturer located in Newtown, is looking for an experienced assembler to join their team!
PURPOSE / SUMMARY Provides support to the Operations area such as reworking components, performing sub-assembly and final assembly steps for producing a medical device.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reworking components.
- Performing sub-assemblies and final assemblies to produce a medical device from start to finish per detailed work instructions and verify activities performed.
- Document and perform line clearance.
- Suggesting ideas to improve manufacturing processes.
- Other activities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
- 2 years previous experience in a similar position.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Good eye and hand coordination.
- Reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
- Ability to perform a variety of assembly tasks requiring dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Ability to visually check work performed and identify whether a product has been assembled correctly Ability to work with minimal direction.
- Ability to use a drill Dependability in coming to work on time and meeting company attendance guidelines.
- Attentiveness in performing tasks.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
