Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• OSHA 10, MA Hoisting License
• Proficient with the use of excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, etc.
• Experience with GPS equipment is a plus
• Knowledge of building and construction including basic engineering methods and principles
• Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment
• A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines
• Capacity to provide and follow direction
• Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure
• Physical strength and stamina to complete physically demanding work outdoors for extended hours
• Basic math skills to take accurate measurements while mixing materials on job sites
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions

Responsibilities:

• Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure that accurate removal and placement of materials
• Loading and offloading rocks, debris and other materials from heavy equipment
• Monitoring the workflow and suggesting changes to enhance productivity
• Communicating with coworkers to clarify project specifications as needed
• Advising the site superintendent of necessary upgrades, repairs and replacements of the equipment
• Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each day
• Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency
• Be aware of the subtleties of each situation and know to adjust accordingly
• Observing stipulated safety codes at all times
