Description
The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and meals to guests, greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring Hotel standards of service. As needed take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to hotel guests in their hotel rooms as well as at guest tables according Hotel specifications. This should all be done in a courteously and efficiently. He/she will collect payments, maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment, stock all wares and equipment needed for service, and assist in the maintenance of the Food and Beverage (F&B) areas and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.
• Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state and county liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.
• Maintain complete knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.
• Prepare hot, cold and mixed drinks for patrons and chill bottles of wine.
• Garnish and decorate dishes in preparation for serving.
• Serve ice water, coffee, rolls or butter to guests.
