Description

We are seeking a skilled Standing Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a standing forklift to move materials throughout our facility. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate a standing forklift to transport materials to and from designated areas within the facility.
2. Load and unload pallets.
3. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
5. Perform other duties as assigned by management to support operational needs.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience operating a standing forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
2. Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices related to forklift operation.
3. Ability to lift and move heavy objects, sometimes in awkward or confined spaces.
4. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
5. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
7. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Requirements

 Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
2. Lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
3. Bend, stoop, and reach to access materials and equipment.
4. Ability to operate a forklift in various weather conditions and temperature extremes.

Compensation is based on level of experience, including education, years of experience compared to requirement, food manufacturing industry experience.
