Institute for Workplace Skills and Innovation America (IWSIA) focuses on advocacy and facilitation of school to work programs for underrepresented groups. They provide resources, toolkits, educational and training resources, and engage employers to support apprenticeship programs. They also aim to align current programs and networks to support and complement industry needs.
IWSIA is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced program manager to oversee and drive forward several of our programs in Southern California. Some of our programs include;
Career Launch Pad - a program designed to help California high school and community college students with disabilities identify their career interests, develop work-ready skills, and participate in work experience with local employers.
Ready, Willing and Able represents a new approach to creating long-term employment opportunities for Californians with a disability. By using the unique features of the registered apprenticeship model, the program will enable Californians with a disability to prepare for, start and maintain ongoing employment.
These are partnerships between the California Department of Rehabilitation (CDOR) and the Institute for Workplace Skills and Innovation America (IWSIA).
Our organization is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Support Manager to provide case management services to consumers seeking guidance on career paths and personal career interests. You will also provide practical hands on training, coaching and facilitate paid work experience opportunities for our consumers.
