Assistant Shop Technician

Intelligent Wellhead Systems (IWS) is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Shop Technician to join our team in Colorado. IWS designs, tests, manufactures, and deploys proprietary and unique digital safety and efficiency workflow technologies for oil and gas well completion operations. IWS is in search of a motivated Assistant Shop Technician for our join our Colorado Team, reporting directly to the Colorado Facility Supervisor. Operating within the niche of the oil and gas sector, IWS offers abundant opportunities for career growth and development. The facility located in Berthoud, Colorado. This position is generally a Monday to Friday schedule, with overtime as required.

Location: Berthoud, Colorado

Reporting to: Colorado Facility Supervisor

Essential Job Functions:

Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, encompassing packaging for outbound shipments and incoming deliveries.
Assist in spotting heavy equipment like forklifts and trucks.
Aid other Shop Technicians, Engineering, and R&D teams as required.
Maintain general housekeeping, ensuring shop cleanliness and efficiency through a daily checklist.
Work generally from Monday to Friday, with hours between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, but be prepared for overtime, weekends, public holidays, or after-hours shifts (6:00 pm - 7:00 am) as needed.
Follow instructions from the supervisor, complete safety training, conduct minor facility repairs, manage inventory, operate forklifts safely, assist with equipment assembly, calibration, metal fabrication, and painting, and support Engineering and R&D teams.
Additionally, perform various tasks related to field equipment maintenance, use hand and power tools proficiently, travel to job sites when necessary, and prioritize assignments effectively.

Experience and Qualification Requirements:

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic computer skills.
Punctuality and time management is an essential to this position.
Adaptability to changing requirements and ability to work under pressure.
Physical capability to lift and move equipment and perform repetitive tasks.
Strong organization and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Possession of a valid driver’s license and preferably forklift certifications.
Comfort with repetitive tasks like working with electrical cables and power washing.
Ability to work independently and in a team, with a focus on safety and achieving goals.
