MUST BE CURRENT KOKOMO SERVICE AREA STUDENT. As an ambassador, the number one role is to represent the school respectfully, with character and class.

We are often the first representation of Ivy Tech Community College and must give a great first impression. Our goal is to tell students what we are, not what we are not.

Ambassadors may be asked to work recruiting events outside the normal office hours.

The primary role is to give tours of the Kokomo / Logansport campus and / or show guests the Ivy Tech facilities. Other tasks may include calling, texting, writing post cards to prospective students and helping the SSP’s and CCC’s with recruiting activities.

Each ambassador will be assigned to a Student Services Profession (SSP) or College Connection Coach (CCC). When you are not giving a tour, you will assist these staff in recruiting students.

This is a ONE SEMESTER job. You can reapply every semester. Other responsibilities of an ambassador include :

• Giving tours to prospective students
• Working with staff on projects
• Mailing letters to prospective students
• Helping out with answering the phone
• Making campus visit packets
• Organizing and responding to returned mailings
• Sending personal notes to prospective students after tours
