The Landscaper is responsible for the overall appearance of the grounds of the Community, in accordance with the Community's property policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers, shrubs, trees and foliage.
• Maintain and repair tools and equipment. Purchase supplies as needed ensuring that expenditures fall within the monthly budget.
• Operate powered equipment such as mowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws. Ensure that all powered equipment is used property and is accounted for an inaccessible to residents.
• Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters and other grounds features.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. College course in horticulture, plant care, etc. preferred.
• Prefer six (6) months experience working in a landscape position or performing similar duties
• Able to safely operate a wide variety of equipment and tools.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Able to operate standard office equipment, including fax machine, copier, telephone, etc.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Able to be flexible, adapt and respond to change, make decisions in stressful situations and prioritize tasks and projects.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
