Job Tittle: Maintenance Manager- Food Industry

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and availability of all production equipment, including but not limited to processing machinery, packaging equipment, conveyors, and utilities systems.
  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure a high level of skill and efficiency within the maintenance department.
  • Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program, including scheduled inspections, lubrication, and replacement of components, to prevent equipment failures and prolong asset life.
  • Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and practices to drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability, productivity, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Utilize data-driven approaches, such as predictive maintenance techniques and condition monitoring, to identify potential equipment issues before they cause unplanned downtime.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality assurance departments to schedule maintenance activities in a manner that minimizes production disruptions and ensures product quality and safety.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting, expense tracking, and cost optimization initiatives, to ensure efficient use of resources while meeting maintenance goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers and external contractors as needed for specialized maintenance tasks, equipment installations, and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and food safety requirements in all maintenance activities, maintaining a safe and clean work environment for maintenance personnel and other employees.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the maintenance team, promoting teamwork, accountability, and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in maintenance management within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and implementation experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of maintenance professionals.
  • Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling software systems (e.g., CMMS).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
