The Treatment Coordinator’s main job responsibility is to explain treatment options and related costs clearly and make it comfortable for patients to get the orthodontic care that they need. The Treatment Coordinator is a liaison between the doctor and the patient. It assists in the gathering of information about the new patient experience, as well as coordinating a treatment plan with the doctor and presenting it to the patient. They are knowledgeable about the treatment and timelines and are prepared to negotiate financial arrangements with the patients to help them in their process of getting their new smiles. Fulfillment of any Front Desk/Insurance Coordinator duties is expected from this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Specific

• -Confirm all new patient appointments.
• -Build patient relationships and understand their orthodontic needs.
• -Make sure all medical history is up to date.
• -Take all records. (Facial photos, intra-oral photos, panoramic x rays and cephalometric x rays).
• -Itero scanning.
• -Taking/Uploading photos.
• -Brief the doctor.
• -Document patient and doctor conversation into patients charts on open dental.
• -Discuss treatment plan with patient and go over financials.
• -Proceed with scheduling the first appointment, and taking necessary payments.
• -Pre-qualify and check insurances.
• -Enter all treatment plans and exams into the system.
• -Generate all doctors' letters.
• -Scan documents into patients’ charts.
• -Follow up with patients (tracking patients who have pending incomplete treatments).
• -Help with retainer deliveries and retainer checks.
• -Complete month end reports.
