Job Description Exciting opportunity to join our growing pharmacy team. Incumbent will be integral part of central fill order processing for outpatient pharmacy services. Central fill operation will support prescription central fill and home delivery for the system. Position is based out of closed door mail order pharmacy within the IU Health Integrated Service Center located in Plainfield, IN. Central fill production line involves all aspects of prescription processing and delivery. Specialist-Pharmacy Inventory Control will perform and/or supervise inventory control procedures that may consist of product ordering, receiving, returns, cycle counts, and recalls. Reviews invoices and resolves problems including order discrepancies, back orders, and contract price changes. Initiates procedures to update formulary databases and barcode associations as needed. Maintains all records pertaining to pharmaceuticals (including controlled substances) and supplies in compliance with organization policy as well as state and federal regulations.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Requires Indiana Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Requires Pharmacy Technician National Certification.
  • 5 years relevant experience preferred.
  • Requires the absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.
  • Requires strong mathematical calculation skills.
  • Requires full proficiency as a pharmacy technician in assigned areas and ability to work within established procedures under limited supervision.
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires strong customer service skills.
  • Requires intermediate proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications.
