Located in Lancaster, NY. In this role, you will supervise a team of individual contributors to ensure effective and efficient production. You will leverage your manufacturing experience and skills to lead talented employees. You will use your leadership abilities to contribute to driving safety, productivity, and exceptional quality. Through collaboration with cross functional teams, you will prioritize team workload and drive continuous improvement. As an Equipment Supervisor, you will coach your team members in technical and behavioral competencies to deliver high impact business results.

Salary Range: $63,200.00 - $94,800.00

Position is set to start in March 2024.

Job Description

  1. Directs and coordinates the activities of manufacturing personnel to ensure effective and efficient production. Works with staff to develop process improvements, documenting processes and maintaining work instructions.
  2. Staffs, trains, evaluates, coaches, and guides employees. Enforcing policies/procedures, and counseling when necessary. Cross trains employees for future growth.
  3. safety.
  4. Manage and motive team to achieve production targets and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  5. Schedules Production as orders are received based on Customer Agreements, standard lead times and due date requests. Manages priorities in scheduling and adjust as required to meet demand and deadlines.
  6. Supports Equipment run offs including set up and testing, providing feedback to engineering for design or programming opportunities, Documenting changes on appropriate forms, and on-site installations and support.
  7. Recommend and drive improvements that reduce waste and costs and improve yields and efficiencies.
  8. Help in investigating root cause failures and recommend solutions.
  9. Support the team in resolving technical issues for all product lines for operations, sales, and service by reviewing and coordinating resources needed.
  10. Priorities ECRs and ensures communication of their statues to all parties involved.
  11. Maintain quality procedure accuracy by doing regular audits and provide feedback when procedures are not correct.
  12. Manages the maintenance and operation of production equipment. Makes recommendations for service and or replacement.
  13. Recommend capital equipment purchases, develop capital project requests, implement on-time and on-budget.
  14. Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20, PLS, and USa principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management
  15. All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field required.

Experience/Skills: 

  1. Minimum 3-5 years management experience; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.
  3. Highly motivated and results oriented.
  4. Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes and stays current in assembly/manufacturing technology
  5. Knowledge of EHS requirements – drives ongoing improvements in local safety standards/performance
  6. Strong project management skills and possesses the ability to multi-task
