Located in Lancaster, NY, the Electrical Assembler will be responsible for the electrical assembling and wiring Hot Stamping and Tax Stamp Machines from drawings, will also include a moderate level of mechanical assembly. Candidate possessing organizational skills and some office/computer skills is favorable.

Pay range: $26.00-$34.00/hr

Temp-to-hire full time and permanent full time hire positions available. Hiring multiple candidates.

Job Description

1. Performs electrical assembly for work-in-process equipment using Bill of Materials and drawings.

2. Utilizes skills and experience to properly locate and assemble wires and electrical components to equipment.

3. Wires control panels to schematics

4. Understanding of basic electricity and cable sizes

5. Must be able to read and understand blue prints, electrical symbols, and electrical schematics

6. Assists in mechanical assembly of equipment

7. Maintains communication with Lead Electrician and Supervisor. Notifies lead staff of progress and problems.

8. Ability to work in a team environment and comfortable sharing and listening to other opinions and ideas

9. Maintains a clean, safe work environment

10. Utilizes proper KanBan procedures

11. Prepares machines for shipment

12. Performs all electrical and mechanical functions

13. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering technology preferred.

Experience/Skills:

1. 2 years experience preferred

2. Knowledge of hand tools, pneumatic tools and hydraulic punch skills are necessary

3. Able to read bill of materials or schematics drawing.

Physical/Visual Activities or Demands: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.

1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and type and frequently required to stand, walk, hear, and grasp. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, crawl, reach above shoulders and outward, bend, squat, and handle and manipulate objects.

2. The employee must lift and carry up to 50 pounds of force constantly and up to 75 pounds occasionally. They will be required to occasionally push and/or pull, or otherwise move objects up to 75 pounds.

3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include concentrated attention, close vision, far vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to bring object into sharp focus.

4. Will work with cleaning solvents, thinners and inks, and may be exposed to occasional loud noise.

5. Must be able to travel occasionally on short notice.

Mental Requirements:

Continuously or frequently required to calculate, communicate verbally, compare, detect, diagnose, inspect, interpret, measure, observe, prioritize, read, speak, and use good judgment.
