Job Description
- Package, handle, and protect finished materials produced on machines.
- Assist in the setup of machinery.
- Inspect, calibrate, and check operator setup of machinery.
- Help operate and run the machine to slit product to customer specifications.
- Load materials onto the machine and adjust settings accordingly.
- Monitor machine operations, control boards, and gauges for defects or malfunctions.
- Complete work orders and production reports in detail.
- Remain mentally alert to ensure safety.
- Perform additional duties as directed by management.
- Tow motor driving experience.
- Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring devices (ruler, caliper, dial indicator, micrometer, scale).
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Adaptability to various production functions.
- Understanding and following written safety procedures.
- Preferred experience in slitting, metal, and machinery.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- High school diploma or GED minimum.
- Forklift Certification is a plus.
- Basic computer skills are a plus.
- Regular use of hands and arms, talking, and hearing.
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Occasionally sitting, climbing, or balancing.
- Manual dexterity for handling tools and machinery.
- Lifting and moving objects up to 10 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and over 100 pounds occasionally (with assistance).
- Specific vision abilities required (close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
- Special safety precautions needed due to working with moving parts, machines, or irritant chemicals. Protective gear required.
- Work may involve extreme temperatures, high noise levels, or other uncomfortable conditions.
