ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow and execute ITW Enterprise Strategy, ITW Toolkit, Core Values, and Code of Conduct as a leader of the business.
Continue improvements in safety culture and increase ownership of the safety program to the operator level. Focus on improving tracking and correcting of hazards, near misses, and reducing overall hazard opportunities in the facility.
Develop, implement, and oversee manufacturing plans and strategies including capacity planning regarding equipment, training, staffing, raw materials, packaging, systems, and general operations improvements.
Lead continuous improvement, cost savings, and ITW Toolbox initiatives to ensure the plant operates at optimal effectiveness and efficiency.
Manage all personnel issues within the department, including such functions as staffing, compensation, behavioral issues, termination, transfer, and promotions. Manage, coach, and develop talent.
Identifies, communicates, and drives implementation of capital investments and improvement projects.
Monitor, report, and initiate action on results of efficiencies, quality, safety, delivery, and costs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Hires and trains new employees.
Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
