The Sexton business fits within the ITW Drawform Division and is a market leader in the manufacture of high-pressure aerosol cans and after-market filter shells and is seeking a Warehouse forklift operator for its Decatur, AL facility, located 30 minutes Southwest of the Huntsville area.

The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for shipping & receiving finished foods & materials as well as maintaining an organized and safe storage & flow of all raw & production materials.

• Pull, stage, verify & load finished goods into trucks based on pick ticket & shipping documents.
• Unload trucks / receive, store & rotate steel, raw and other materials.
• Assist with production forklift coverage if needed.
• Sign for, check packing slips & verify all Plant deliveries.
• Rotate finished goods for FIFO shipping.
• Ensure finished goods are labeled, packaged properly & ready for shipment.
• Check the shipping schedule & email for upcoming shipments, carrier and related information.
• Ship small packages & customer samples using the UPS Software system.
• Stage Bottom Stock for production.
• Rotate finished bottoms.
• Re-load empty drums, paint & oil totes to specific vendors upon delivery.
• Re-load old scrap pallets upon delivery of new pallets.
• Store old corrugated /cardboard; Load onto the recycling truck when it arrives.
• Maintain a clean, orderly & safe warehouse by placing all materials in the proper areas.
• Follow all safety requirements including proper PPE.

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing & warehouse environment.
• Other related shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a prerequisite. An employee may be hired without prior certification but successful completion of testing to achieve certification is required.
• The position requires frequent lifting, keen vision, mental awareness, team orientation, and careful attention to detail.

• Demonstrate knowledge concerning general safety protocol and procedures regarding field operations.
• Ability to work independently, manage projects and complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Self-starter; works with minimal supervision; capable of offering up and making decisions.
• Effective oral, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Team-player with aptitude to learn the ITW culture and work within a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain keen vision and mental awareness while practicing careful attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with team members to support troubleshooting, problem solving, root cause analysis, and related process improvement activities.
