Position Summary

ITT Goulds Pumps is among the most widely recognized and respected brands in the global pump industry, serving customers in the oil and gas, mining, power generation, chemical, pulp and paper, and general industrial markets. As the only manufacturer to make digital monitoring standard on every process pump, ITT Goulds Pumps continues to lead the industry in both mechanical pump design and the adoption of smart technologies.

This position is for a Manager of Applications Engineering. This position will manage all aspects of applications engineering for the end uses after market sales team.

Essential Responsibilities

• Major responsibilities include but are not limited to oversight of the applications engineering team and managing the team to success.

  - Review customer specifications and prepare comprehensive processional proposals. 

  - Handle customer telephone inquiries. 

  - Interface with outside vendors to solicit quotes for equipment. 

  - Effectively process orders and manage any issues that arise. 

  - Act as a liaison between operations and the customer. 

  - Participate in sales calls with the Sales Engineer as part of development. 

  - Provide technical support to customers. 

  - Coordinate the handling of returned goods. 

  - Participate in pre-award meetings as required. 

  - Develop effective rapport with customer contacts. 

Position Requirements

Education: BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or similar 

Experience: > 5 years’ experience in rotating equipment, ideally pumps 

Other Skills: 

- Excellent communication skills

- Team Building/Management

- PC skills

- Strong commercial acumen 

- Experience working with outside Sales team

- Self started with a positive attitude 

- Highly organized with ability to handle multiple projects with quick turnaround requirements

The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.
