An ideal candidate has a strong interest in mental health, a desire to learn, and a passion for providing excellent patient care in a collaborative, team-focused environment. Both experienced and newer medical assistants are welcome to apply to this position. We are a rapidly growing office and are looking for a medical assistant that is interested in utilizing the latest research, technology, and practice guidelines in an effort to achieve wellness for our clientele. Responsibilities:The medical assistant role is a mixture of administrative tasks with a heavy focus in clinical care coordination, fulfilling various requirements in these categories: Coordinating the success of patient care by promptly handling incoming and outgoing client communication, documenting such communication accordingly. Gaining proficiency with the EMR system to improve client experience Completing prior authorization requests for medications Preparing and giving injectable medications to clients Ordering and managing inventory of sample medications and specialty medications Collecting vital signs Administering clinical testing, including UDS panels and Genesight swabs Communicating with other offices and pharmacies regarding medications and other aspects of care coordination Properly scheduling and rescheduling appointments for clients Checking out clients by scheduling future appointments and collecting payment Collaborating with administrative staff and providers as a team Maintaining our company culture and upholding our company values Assist with staffing needs at other iTrust Wellness Group offices as applicableMaintains active certification All other tasks as assigned Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant as required by state laws. Certification must remain active and in good standing. Current certification in Basic Life Support Active certification as a Medical Assistant Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. Ability to prioritize needs and plan work accordingly.
