ITility seeks a talented QA Automation Tester (Journeyman) to support our contract with the United States Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) onsite in Waukegan, IL in the Great Lakes area. We provide enterprise IT support to USMEPCOM, a Major Command of the United States (U.S.) Department of Defense (DoD), which screens and processes applicants into the U.S. Armed Forces. USMEPCOM is the vital link between recruiting and training armed forces and operates 65 Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) located throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions, Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to:

• The successful candidate will help by working with the USMEPCOM Application Operations team to create a positive experience in the implementation and use of technology by ensuring products meet business and technical requirements.
• Support the creation, maintenance, and management of test plans, test suites, estimation, test artifacts, and test cases within a test management system for manual and/or automated testing;
• Execute manual or automated testing using documented test cases as determined by the test plan;
• Maintain a customer service-oriented approach when working with team members and partners;
• Working with modern automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, AWS cloud architecture, and using Jira and Confluence tools;
• Report/track bugs for every release and track them till they are closed
• Proactive and strong communicator in both technical and business settings;
• Good understanding of software testing practices for web apps
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications include:

• Must be a US Citizen and able to pass and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline
• 3 years of experience as a Tester performing automated scripting using Java and Selenium framework.
• Candidate should have a working knowledge with an automation framework (e.g., Behavior Driven Development (BDD) or Test NG)
• Knowledge of incorporating automation reporting tools (e.g., Cucumber)
• 2 years of experience on REST API testing with tools (e.g., POSTMAN)
• Must have knowledge of SQL for validating Database objects
• Working experience on Agile Software Development team deploying bi-weekly Sprints
• Reporting defects in Jira or similar tools and providing risk management to the management team.
