Our client seeks a highly motivated Senior Manager of On-Prem IT Operations. In this role you’ll primarily lead a team of engineers responsible for overseeing on-premises physical and virtual environments, ensuring disaster recovery readiness, and providing guidance on project related to consolidations, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements. Responsibilities include strategic solutions to align service objectives, monitoring performance metrics, managing/optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and driving process improvements for the organization’s current on-premises technologies and services as well as develop a strategic path forward to support M&A activity and hyper growth. 

Salary: $140-170K 15% bonus, some occasional travel for team collaboration as needed.

How you’ll do it : This critical leadership role reports directly to the Director of Operations and collaborates closely with the IT Leadership team and various IT Service Managers, while also engaging with the organization’s business users. 

Technical Leadership of On-Premises Infrastructure:

• Provide technical leadership for complex on-premises infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Oversee infrastructure primarily consisting of Dell and HP servers, HP and Dell storage arrays, with approximately 80% virtualized on VMware, along with some Hyper-V and physical servers.

Technical Hands-On Leadership of Teams and Projects:

• Manage a team of 4-7 people and oversee a budget of $3-5 million.
• Lead integration projects and ensure seamless integration of acquired companies' IT infrastructure, working closely with PMs and other business units to ensure seamless delivery.
• Provide expert solutioning and strategic guidance to support enterprise growth and acquisition of hardware and site assets, third party relationships and your team. 

• Manage relationships with third-party IT providers from acquired companies, including coordinating changes, approving invoices and negotiating contracts as needed.
• Foster a culture of accountability and execution within the team.
• Contribute to process optimization and enhancements of on-prem infrastructure management. 

What We're Looking For:

• Technical experience with various IT technologies, including Dell, HP, VMware, and Hyper-V.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in IT Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in IT. 2 as a Hands On Manager
• Certs like AZ 800 or MCSE or VCP are nice to have.
• Familiarity with a broad range of IT technologies (Platform, Network, Cloud, Analytics, etc.)
• Familiarity with 3rd party cloud, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS-based environments (i.e. Azure, AWS, Oracle, ADP, etc.).
• Ability to thrive in a highly matrix, fast-paced, team based, multi-site organization experiencing rapid growth with strong business acumen to understand business requirement
