Our large manufacturing client located in Sanford, North Carolina, is looking for a Project Engineer, to add to their team.

Position's Contributions to Work Group:

• Close gap in production configurations vacated with previous IPV Manager
• Assist in successful launch of NPI products
• This position is responsible for configuration and deployment of software systems to internal production environments

Typical task breakdown:

• Update the BOM configuration spreadsheet
• Develop new configurations to meet schedule deadlines
• Update procedures so information can be used to train others
• Attend engineering meetings to gather data and provide status reports
• Support day-to-day production software issues

Interaction with team:

• Daily updates and status reports

Work environment:

On site, desk with laptop and configurations access

Education & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred

Technical Skills

Required:

• Software configuration experience; Knowledge of Software Configuration Management
• Mechanical understanding of automotive systems
• Electrical understanding of sensors, inputs, outputs
• Requires a good understanding of application/infrastructure design, and application deployment

Desired:

• Knowledge of automotive parts, sensors, and mechanisms
• Software configuration management or data management experience is a plus
• Proactive team player who is willing to learn new skills and take on varied assignments

• Ability to clearly communicate written and verbal to technicians and engineers
• Attentive to detail, pride in work
• Good emotional intelligence score (awareness)
