ITC Holdings Careers is Hiring a Manager, Engagement, Development, Inclusion & Diversity Near Novi, MI

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be critical in ongoing development of employees by researching, recommending and implementing Learning and Talent Development programs, engagement strategies, change management and Inclusion and Diversity to support the organization’s overall business goals and core values. Overall responsible for leading the engagement and culture efforts for the company. 

Learning & Development:

  • Proposes and manages learning strategy for the organizational learning function, including objectives, strategies, policies and processes.
  • Analyzes learning needs, identifies and develops new learning programs and modifies existing programs to ensure subject matter is current and relevant for employees, leader curriculums and team development.
  • Measures the effectiveness and utilization of learning initiatives by implementing solutions to gather feedback and data; uses the findings to take a continuous improvement approach. 
  • Utilizes a blend of learning methodologies, including workshops, coaching, mentoring and e-learning to address diverse learning styles. 
  • Delivers training sessions and/or partners with subject matter experts to ensure utilization of a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as lectures, classroom discussion, team exercises and videos.

Talent Development:

  • Designs, develops and communicates an innovative talent development strategy to build inclusive leaders, key talent and employees while enhancing their ability to deliver expected business outcomes.
  • Analyzes and determines training needs; makes recommendations to leadership on training and/or programs required to increase performance and develop organizational bench strength.
  • Partners with business leaders and HR business partners to identify critical capability needs to drive the business strategy; creates and implements solutions to address these gaps. 
  • Builds curriculum for various management and leadership development programs to promote leadership capabilities aligned with company core values. 
  • Creates and leverages existing solutions to accelerate supervisor, manager and director capabilities. 
  • Develops and implements programs for high potentials and leadership programs for supervisor, manager and director levels; assists with talent profiles.

Engagement, Inclusion, Diversity and Change Management:

  • Proposes, designs and implements organization-wide employee engagement & retention strategy, processes and interventions across the organization.
  • Partners with Human Resources and leadership to model company core values and foster an environment where all employees are engaged and inspired to contribute their best. 
  • Manages and leads company-wide culture initiatives in coordination with the HR business partners and senior leaders.
  • Manages the inclusion and diversity program and its integration across the organization.
  • Collaborates with HR business partners and leaders in reviewing and updating policies to eliminate biases and barriers to engagement; proposes changes to facilitate Inclusion & Diversity strategy to promote inclusivity and belonging.
  • Manages the change management efforts organization wide.
  • Manages the HR project integration function, including the employee experience and organizational development and change.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Human Resources, leadership and other departments, to ensure alignment of employee experience initiatives with overall organizational values.
  • Manages the Human Resources department-wide communications annual planning and execution.

Other duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Selects and manages outside training resources and associated vendor negotiations and agreements.
  • Ensures the full and effective utilization of training tools and resources, including the effective management of the learning system.
  • Oversees and improves the capabilities of the current learning management system.
  • Recommends and develops new development and engagement alternatives based on best practices and/or new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning.
  • Establishes and maintains effectiveness metrics; assists with revising training material based on metrics and ensures follow-up training is completed when necessary.
  • Manages, leads, motivates and develops Engagement and Development team members for success.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Training and Development or related field; Master's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Human Resources in a professional capacity with experience in leading training and development programs. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years, with a preferred (5) years in a management/supervisory role developing a team.
  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) and/or learning certifications are preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage change initiatives.
  • Ability to implement a full range of strategies and concepts quickly, concisely and methodically.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with leadership and colleagues, both internal and external to the company.
  • Capable of effectively interacting with all levels of staff.
  • Strong leadership skills along with the ability to exhibit creativity and innovation.
  • Sound business judgment and the ability to think quickly.
  • Ability to understand a variety of systems and procedures.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and work independently
  • Ability to manage and execute effectively and independently.
