ITA is seeking a Software Engineer to join the team at Eglin Air Force Base.

Responsibilities

ITA is hiring a Software Developer to support our USAF customer at the 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (SWW), whose mission is to deliver adaptive and cutting-edge electromagnetic spectrum capabilities that provide the war fighter a tactical and strategic competitive advantage and freedom to attack, maneuver, and defend. The 350 SWW falls under the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center (USAFWC) and is comprised of two Groups: the 850th and 350th Spectrum Warfare Groups (SWG) and nine Electronic Warfare Squadrons (EWS).

Duties may include:-Assisting with the build, deployment and monitoring of standards for the Wing. - Serving as a part of agile development teams, delivers an end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment;- Creating scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks;- Collaborating with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution;- Monitoring and supporting installed systems and infrastructure;- Contributing to the design of information and operational support systems;- Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools;- Providing support for the organization's security, backup, and redundancy strategies;- Providing assistance with Enterprise Application Development - Provides support for compliance and continuous improvement for software development and software policies and procedures.- May manage software technical solutions to ensure highly adaptable and resilient software architecture and component design.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

-Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. -Preferred degree in Computer Science (CS) or Software Engineering. Related fields (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics) may be considered relevant if the programs contain, at minimum, a concentration of courses in the following foundational CS areas: algorithms; computer architecture ; programming methodologies and languages; data structures; logic and computation; and advanced mathematics (for example, calculus, discrete mathematics).

-Secret Clearance required

-Desired KSAs/experience:- Knowledge of Cloud architecture, Digital Engineering and Corresponding Tools Knowledge, and/or Enterprise Apps Development- Experience in administering and performance tuning of application stacks- Experience deploying and monitoring web applications in AWS.- Demonstrated experience with secure development, coding, and engineering practices;- Experience with systems reliability, load balancing, monitoring, logging;- Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux based environments;- Knowledge of networking technologies, particularly with OSI network layers and TCP/IP;- Scripting skills, including shell scripts;- Ability to work in an open team environment;- Security first mindset;- Strong verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
