Job Description

The Workstation Deployment Team Technician is responsible for supporting multiple client networks of various sizes and levels of complexity. The ideal candidate is a dedicated, relentless problem solver who applies logic and an instinctive approach to resolving technical issues. The Workstation Deployment Team Technician position requires regular travel to client locations. This position is responsible for setting up and implementing new client workstations using both standard images and build sheets, and at times they’re called upon to perform ad-hoc tasks at client sites such as troubleshooting time-sensitive user and office IT issues. This person should enjoy learning new technologies on the fly while solving diverse technical challenges. The position works closely and often with our clients so they must be friendly and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. The ability to manage the stress of client-down situations is an absolute must, and it is paramount to always provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Builds client workstations using standard build images and often-complicated custom build sheets for our clients
• Handles on-site services including set-up, diagnostics and repairs for client workstations and other technologies
• Travels onsite to client offices to provide services. Days not spent traveling will be worked onsite at IT Solutions in Fort Washington, PA or at times working from home.
• Works regularly with internal service and project coordinators who assign to the Workstation Deployment Team Technicians their tasks
• Interacts and works directly with multiple advanced technician groups and vendors to escalate technical issues, provide client updates, and drive incidents to resolution often collaborating between more than one group at a time
• Participates in a week-long on-call rotation a few times per year.

• 2 Years’ experience in an IT Technician role, preferably with imaging, deployment, troubleshooting, and technology migration
• Experience with Windows 10 desktop OS deployment and intermediate-level troubleshooting of related issues in Windows and in the BIOS
• Experience working with server room rack management
• Proficient in recent version of Microsoft Office suite
• Owns a reliable vehicle and has a clean driving record
• Communicates effectively with internal team members, clients stakeholders and vendors
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Confident and comfortable with client facing activity
• Demonstrates great customer service, urgency and the ability to gently extract technical details from clients
