IT Consulting of NY is Hiring a Director of Nursing - Quality Improvement Near Bronx, NY

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Director of Nursing -Quality Improvement/ Assurance and Innovation to join our team. As a Director of Nursing -Quality Improvement/ Assurance and Innovation, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products and services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your expertise in analyzing and evaluating processes, systems, and data will play a crucial role in identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective quality control measures.

Duties:

  • Currently registered to Practice as a Professional Nurse in NY State plus (2) or (3) below NY Registered Nurse (RN} license

• Masters degree Nursing Administration, Business Administration, Health care administration, or related field.

  • 3 years of Nursing experience in an Acute care hospital
  • Previous experience as Quality Assurance, Quality Improvement
  • Preferred experience in process analysis, data analysis, project management and facilitation
  • Certification or working knowledge of six Sigma, lean methodologies preferred
  • Certified Professional Healthcare Quality Certification (CPHQ)- Preferred upon hire or attain within 1 year of hire to maintain continued employment
  • ANCC Board Certifications in specialty area preferred
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written}, interpersonal, organization, presentation skills.
  • Proficient is Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Highly organized, ability to work independently

Skills:
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Infection control knowledge
- Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and regulations
- Understanding of suture techniques and wound care
- Knowledge of discharge planning processes
- Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of patient care systems and processes
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
