I-State Truck Center is looking for an experienced Body Shop Mechanic/Technician(s) for our Billings Montana location. We are offering highly competitive wages!

A Body Shop Mechanic/Technician plays a vital role in the Heavy-Duty Truck repair industry, specializing in the restoration and repair of damaged vehicles. Body shop professionals conduct thorough assessments, perform a variety of repairs, and ensure the vehicles meet safety and quality standards. Proficient in using specialized tools and equipment, you will work collaboratively with team members to deliver efficient and high-quality services. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and adherence to safety protocols are crucial in this dynamic role. Effective communication with customers and staying updated on industry advancements contribute to the overall success of a Body Shop Technician/Mechanic

Body Shop Mechanic/Technician Job Duties:

  • Wheel alignment, frame repairs and steering mechanism repairs
  • Sandblast, prep and sand truck chassis, bodies, trailers, and equipment surfaces for painting
  • Repair and replace all types of aluminum, fiberglass, plastic body parts, adjust, and modify all heavy-duty body components
  • Positive interface with service writers, foreman, parts department, and customers
  • Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion
  • Meet requirements for certifications
  • Administrative duties as related to role

Body Shop Mechanic/Technician Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have your own set of general tools
  • Ability to work with co-workers for troubleshooting and completing repairs
  • Technical degree or certification a plus
  • Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions
  • Ability to operate a forklift or obtain a forklift license
