Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Food Prep Person / Cashier. In this role, you will be responsible for various food preparation tasks, as well as assisting with cashier duties as needed. Your responsibilities will include:

• Greet customers as they enter the sandwich shop and help them with ordering from the menu
• Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy
• Taking orders from customers and processing transactions at the cashier's station
• Serve sandwiches to tables promptly and with a friendly demeanor
• Rolling dough and baking bread for sandwiches
• Cutting meats and other ingredients
• Refilling the sandwich prep station to ensure ingredients are readily available
• Ensuring all food items are fresh and not expired
• Ensuring that all items are re-stocked
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food products
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
• Labeling food items with dates for quality control
• Maintaining cleanliness in the working area
• Perform daily cleaning tasks as assigned by the management to keep the shop sanitary and welcoming

Requirements:

• Previous experience in food preparation is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
• Must be able to work the specified schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.5 per week
